About Dr. Gregory
Dr. Layne Gregory is a licensed veterinarian in Waco, Texas. He started Hewitt Veterinary Hospital in 1983, which developed into one of Waco’s most reputable small animal veterinary medical centers.
Several years ago, after 37 years of practicing veterinary medicine and surgery, it became his passion to determine the best answer for a question he was hearing over and over again from his clients:
“What can I give my dog for joint pain?”
Most of his clients who asked that question had already tried glucosamine and chondroitin supplements, with mostly disappointing results.
He then decided to research available supplements for joint pain in dogs, and determine which supplements were showing the most benefit, in order to provide an informed answer to his clients’ question.
He relentlessly studied published research articles, studies, and clinical trials on supplements and nutraceuticals used for joint pain in dogs; spending countless hours studying information from a professional veterinary information network, and reading published articles and recommendations from board-certified Canine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation veterinary specialists.
His primary interest was discovering which supplements were most likely to help joint pain in dogs, based on FACTS and EVIDENCE from research studies and clinical trials, disregarding non-scientifically-based information, claims, and opinions.
Also important to Dr. Gregory was how much of an ingredient needs to be given–i.e. What is the best dosage for each individual ingredient?
Supplements must be given in sufficient dosage for benefit.
Dr. Gregory’s goal is to share with you the key takeaways from what he learned about supplements used for joint pain.
He feels strongly that your dog deserves ingredients supported by FACTS and EVIDENCE that have been shown by research studies and clinical trials to decrease joint pain, not videos and claims that may or may not be reliable, designed to play on your emotions.
